CHD regularly works on advocacy with the police, judicial system, other governmental institutions, service providers and agencies to create a holistic approach to ensuring that the rights of the homeless are not violated. We were one of the backbone organizations in the Government Survey during the Kejriwal Government in 2014 where as emergency intervention old buses were turned into shelters by CHD's recommendation. As part of Advocacy and Networking, we work with the Pension Parishad and National Forum for Homeless Housing Rights (NFHHR). Being a part a Delhi wide Ration-Pension pre-election yatra CHD helped communicate the needs of the Homeless citizens to the Lieutenant Governor who took an interest in the issue and we inform the governor’s office on work on the homeless.
